Giving at Calvary Bible Church

As we strive to become good stewards of all that God has given us, we are encouraged to share of our resources and our talents.

    Financially

Your generous donation helps us to have a tangible impact in our community.  There are several ways you can give to financially support our church:

Give in person on Sunday mornings:

Simply place your offering in the designated box at the back of the church sanctuary.  Please remember to include your full name, address and contact number in case we need to get in touch with you.  Please contact us below if you would like to receive envelopes to use when making regular donations in person.

    Give via e-transfer:

Please contact us below to receive further instructions on giving via e-transfer.

    Donate online through:

Note:   There is a small processing fee, paid by the Church, when a donation is received through CanadaHelps.

Volunteering of your time and skills

God's Word is filled with references of showing love, generosity, and sharing our gifts.

    Church Community (Galatians 6:10):

You may want to put your name forth to be called on to help with a particular project or event; or perhaps you have a particular skill, or gifting.  You can volunteer to be part of a committee which supports an area of our ministry that appeals to you.

If you call Calvary Bible Church your home, here are some of the many ways you can show love for our church and our community through volunteering.  Please note that some opportunities below may have specific criteria which must be met before serving:

    Blessings Cupboard:

Devote an afternoon once a month to talk with people in the community and form relationships as we bless them with essential groceries and hygiene supplies.

    Drivers:

Add your name to our list of people who can help drive those who don’t have a car to church, a doctor’s appointment, or shopping.

    Freezer Ministry:

Add your name to our list of people who would like to make meals for our Freezer Ministry to help members of the church or in our community in times of need.

    Greeter:

Volunteer to welcome visitors and church members as they arrive for services or other events, and provide assistance and direction to those who need it.

    Meal Train:

Join the list of people that would like to make a meal to help people who could use some support in a time of need, i.e. sickness, new baby, when called upon.

    Prayer Chain:

If you have a heart for prayer, you may be interested in committing to praying for needs as they arise.  Communication is via e-mail.

    Maintenance Team Church Building:

If you are a handy person, you may be willing to help with maintenance tasks around the church building.

    Children's Ministries:

If you have a love for children or young people, and the desire to be engaged in their lives, this might be for you:

    Visiting those who are housebound:

    Worship Teams:

I am interested in knowing more ABOUT VOLUNTEERING WITHIN MY CHURCH COMMUNITY

Reach out in our Local Community (John 3:18):

Demonstrate God's love in action by volunteering at local shelters, food banks, community centers, or even helping a neighbor with yard work, meals, or errands.

By serving others, we show compassion, empathy, and a desire to make a difference, all of which align with biblical principles of love and service.
