Building and Property Steward
Phil was born in Smiths Falls and has attended Calvary Bible Church since 1955. He accepted the Lord as Saviour in Sunday School at CBC and have been involved as an adult with various ministries. He served on the Church Board from 1981 to 2015 as Sunday School Superintendent for a few years and Treasurer for 30 years. Other areas of service have included bus ministry driver, youth group sponsor, Sunday School teacher and AWANA leader.
He married in 1983 and has four children and seven grandchildren. Collectively they are serving the Lord here in Smiths Falls, as well as in Ottawa and Hamilton.
Phil is a certified public accountant with his working career of 40 years spent between two employers in the Town of Carleton Place. He worked 12 years as Financial Controller for an engineering and aerospace company called Leigh Instruments Ltd, and 28 years as Treasurer and Deputy CAO for the Town of Carleton Place. He retired in 2018.
