I was born in Smiths Falls and have been attending Calvary Bible Church since 1955. Accepted the Lord as Saviour in Sunday School at CBC and have been involved as an adult with various ministries. I served on the board of the church from 1981 to 2015 in the capacities of Sunday School Superintendant for a few years and treasurer for 30 years. Other areas of service have included bus ministry driver, youth group sponsor, Sunday School teacher and Awana leader.
Bev and I were married in 1983 and we have four children, Robyn, Luke, Blair and Carla along with married in children, Shawn, Kim and Kayla. Collectively they are serving the Lord here in Smiths Falls, as well as in Ottawa and Hamilton. We have seven grandchildren ages 1 to 7.
I am a certified public accounted: my working career of 40 years was spent between 2 employers in the town of Carleton Place. I worked 12 years as financial controller for an engineering and aerospace company called Leigh Instruments Ltd, and 28 years as treasurer and deputy CAO for the Town of Carleton Place. I retired in 2018.
